An experienced artist working in the disciplines of painting and photography, where the subject matter influences the medium, Jan has has a BA (Hons) Fine Art Degree from the University College for the Creative Arts at Farnham.

On leaving school she completed a three year full time course in Advertising Design at the Berkshire College of Art in Reading, then joined the Hamlyn Publishing Group in London as a book and record sleeve designer. She subsequently worked as a graphic designer in a studio before becoming a book design and production coordinator. After taking time out to have a family, Jan joined Adult Education as a tutor in drawing and painting and in 1997 became a member of the Society of Woman Artists.

She has exhibited in prestigious galleries such as the Westminster, Mall and Bankside in London and most recently at the Royal Acadamy Summer Exhibition.

Academic qualifications
2007 - BA (Hons) Fine Art – University College for the
          Creative Arts, Farnham.
1988 - ACSET 1 – Training course for part-time teachers -
          London and South Eastern Region.
1965 - Diploma in Advertising Design - Berkshire College of Art, Reading.
